FAQ

  • How long does it take?

You can work through the online material in 3-4 hours. There are 4 assignments and the time you take is entirely up to you - your insights and reflections are critical.

  • How can I feel confident about putting online learning into practice?

You can join online workshops to learn from other practitioners . The assignments allow you to try ideas out. Your licence is based on discussions with tutors about your real work and your needs

  • How long does my registration last?

You have six months from the date of registration to complete the course and submit your work to gain the licence. But we are really flexible so do get in touch if you have problems

  • So I've got a certificate - what next?

The practitioner licence only qualifies you to use the approach, not to teach it. You can progress to tutor training and join our team - either as an independent or within your organisation. As a practitioner you get access to webinars and resources - this is an exciting field where we are learning all the time. You need to renew the licence every two years.

  • I know about Storysharing® - do I really need to train?

The techniques we teach are very simple and are based in the way people chat in real life. But it can be surprisingly difficult to do this well. The course helps you to understand the science behind the practice, to critically observe yourself and others, and to focus on the key strategies that really work with a range of individuals. And of course you get to meet some wonderful colleagues!

  • Is all the training online?

There are lots of options for training including in-person workshops, consultancy, and training for organisations, either through an online platform or face to face. Have a look at the training information on our website https://storysharing.org.uk

  • It's difficult for me to access this material, what can I do?

If you are someone with dyslexia, visual impairment or a hearing impairment, online learning can be a challenge! Please get in touch directly and we will work out how best to support you to do the training [email protected]
